Long term plan, annual plan, annual report and community outcomes

Long term plan (LTP)
The LTP provides opportunities for you to have a say in the council's decision making. The LTP describes what we will do over the next 10 years and why, outcomes we are working toward and how those activities will be funded.

Annual plan
The annual plan is a document the council adopts each year that sets out the budget and the sources of funding for the year. The annual plan is prepared in the years between each LTP.

Annual report
The annual report is our annual statement to the community of what we spent and our performance for the year ending 30 June. It reports against the relevant year of our LTP. You can read Waikato Regional Council's 2011/12 Annual Report online.

Community outcomes
Community outcomes state what the council intends to achieve to maintain and improve the wellbeing of the region in the present and in the future. They form the basis for the council's service delivery, thus determining the levels of service provided to the community.
