Economic development and environmental sustainability workshop
The workshop was held on 11 December 2009 Beca, Garden Place, Hamilton.
The purpose of the workshop was to discuss the outcomes of the existing Regional Land Transport Strategy and whether they accurately capture the 30-year strategic direction for the Waikato region.
The objective was to help determine high level outcome statements for improving Economic Development and Environmental Sustainability , and identify global and regional challenges and opportunities for the Waikato region.

Access and mobility
The workshop was held at Hamilton City Council, Reception Lounge on September 3rd 2009.
The purpose of the workshop was to discuss the outcomes of the existing Regional Land Transport Strategy and whether they accurately capture the 30-year strategic direction for the Waikato region.
The objective was to help determine high level outcome statements for improving access and mobility, and protecting and promoting public health that reflect progress to date and identified regional challenges and opportunities for the Waikato region.
A number of speakers preceded the workshop to share information and give insight. The meeting then broke into groups with the focus on ensuring that future transport planning in the Waikato will:
- improve access and mobility
- protect and promote public health.
