Airsheds

An airshed is a geographic area used for measuring air quality standards.         This area is used by regulators for managing air quality. 

There are 21 airsheds in the Waikato region:

  • 20 urban airsheds (listed below)
  • the 'rest of the region' airshed, made up of the areas not covered by the airsheds listed.

These airsheds came into force on 1 April 2007. To download a map of each airshed, click on the links below.
