Catchment liaison subcommittees

Appointment of community representatives

Nominations have now closed for local community representatives on council's Catchment Liaison Subcommittees.

Community representatives could be property owners, representatives of community groups or forestry representatives (specified zones).

The role of the subcommittees is to assist council in the implementation of river and catchment management services within each river and catchment zone.

Nominations

Nominees must have a positive interest in achieving the key outcomes associated with flood protection, soil erosion and/or river management activities. An active involvement in community or sector, coupled with the ability to interact with the local community is required.

Nominations have closed and are currently being reviewed by the selection panel. Nominations will go forward to the Catchment Services Committee meeting on 12 February.
